Seared Scallops with Lime Cream Sauce and Grits Recipe

SCALLOPS & LIME CREAM SAUCE
Description: Delicate scallops are lightly seared to keep them tender, then finished with a soft lime cream sauce that adds brightness without overpowering their sweetness. They have that zing that makes you want to sing! So, dig in and don’t fight, these lovely mollusks are good to the last bite!
Ingredients:
2 pounds sea scallops
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 Tablespoons Tony Chacheres Creole Seasoning
1 cup heavy cream
Zest of 1 lime
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
Directions:
Season scallops lightly with Tony Chacheres
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear scallops for 2 minutes per side until golden. Remove and keep warm.
Lower heat and add cream, lime zest, and lime juice to the skillet.
Simmer gently for 2–3 minutes, then spoon over scallops.

BUTTER GRITS
Description: These delectable soft, creamy butter grits provide the perfect base for any breakfast or seafood. Don’t fight, but you’d better grab yours quick-like!
Ingredients:
1 cup stone-ground grits
4 cups water
1 teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons salted butter
1/4 cup half and half
Directions:1. Bring water and salt to a gentle boil.
2. Slowly whisk in grits.
3. Reduce heat to low and cook 15-20 minutes, stirring often.
4. Stir in butter and half and half until smooth.
Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 25 minutes Servings: 8
