Gourmet Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries

Chocolate-covered strawberries drizzled with white chocolate on a white tray. More strawberries are on brown paper in a kitchen setting.

Few treats are as timeless and indulgent as fresh strawberries dipped in rich, glossy chocolate. With their stems left on, these berries are easy to dip, elegant to serve, and perfect for special occasions, celebrations, or sharing with family and friends. The contrast of juicy, slightly tart strawberries and smooth gourmet chocolate creates a dessert that is both luxurious and nostalgic.

Our family is wild about these simple berries dipped in milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate. Everyone can help make them, from youngest to oldest, and they’re always in season!

We did a taste testing of four different chocolate brands and were happy as clams with all four of them. What’s not to love!

Whether arranged on a platter or served after a special dinner, these chocolate-dipped strawberries are always met with delight. Using high-quality chocolate and properly dried strawberries ensures a beautiful finish and a satisfying snap when you bite in.

Perfect Chocolate Dipped Strawberries:

Description: These yummy bites are meant to please family and guests alike. Just close your eyes and dig in. Be on alert though, they’ll disappear faster than a speeding train. Get yours before they’re gone!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds fresh strawberries, stems on

  • 16 ounces gourmet chocolate (dark, milk, or white), finely chopped

Directions

  1. Gently wash the strawberries and pat them completely dry with paper towels. Any moisture will prevent chocolate from adhering properly.

  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.

  3. Melt chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth and glossy.

  4. Holding each strawberry by the stem, dip it into the melted chocolate, twirling gently to coat most of the berry.

  5. Allow excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl, then place the strawberry on the prepared baking sheet.

  6. Repeat with remaining strawberries.

  7. Let the strawberries set at room temperature or refrigerate briefly until the chocolate is firm.
